The EU has launched a legislative initiative on the recognition of parenthood between Member States. The adoption of a Proposal for a Regulation is foreseen for the second quarter of 2022.

An Experts Group is advising on the preparation of this legislative initiative. One of the twelve individual experts appointed is Prof. Cristina González Beilfuss, who is a member of the GEDIP.
